Fresh and lively with aromas of green apple, grapefruit, lemon and apple blossom with a touch of pineapple. Light and balanced with a lovely purity and a long, clean finish. A perfect aperitif and equally good with a light meal, think caesar salad, fresh seafood or dishes with a little tropical fruit.
Complices de Loire is a partnership between François-Xavier Barc and Gérald Vallée, two Loire Valley vignerons who joined forces in 2010 bringing together years of experience across the region. We’ve written about them above in the context of the Côt and Aérobulles, but the Evasion Sauvignon Blanc is perhaps the most straightforward expression of what they do well: clean, honest, terroir-driven Loire wine at a great price. The fruit comes from clay and sandy soils in Touraine, which lend the wine its characteristic lightness and softness of fruit.
